Police searching for person of interest in downtown shooting

Police are looking for a person of interest in a downtown shooting Thursday night.

According to Lieutenant Ron Gish, the shooting happened at a home in the 1300 block of southwest Harrison just after 6:00pm.

When officers arrived they say the victim had a non-life threatening gun-shot wound.

He says the victim knew the person who shot him…and police were able to get a description of the suspect.

The man was later taken to the hospital.

Police are looking for Jamie Lee Roberts they he is a person of interest.

He’s described as a 31-year-old black man standing 5’8” and weighing 170 pounds.

He was last seen driving a blue Ford Expedition.

A home in the area was also hit by gunfire.

Gish says there were children in the home at the time.
