School officer injured in Topeka High School fight

Some students are facing charges after a fight Friday afternoon at Topeka High School.

According to Ron Brown Director of Topeka Unified School District 501’s Police Department, Sargent Mike Homan received a head injury when he intervened in a scuffle involving a former student and three students.

Brown says during the confrontation Homan was pushed to the ground and hit his head.

The man was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

The three students were also charged with disorderly conduct.
