A 14-year-old is in police custody after witnesses say a gun he was carrying went off and fired at his six-year-old cousin.
They were in a chiropractor’s office in Mission, Kansas, at the time.
The victim, a little girl, was shot in the leg but is expected to be okay.
A doctor at the office confiscated the weapon.
The teen was taken to a juvenile detention facility.
Prosecutors will decide whether to file charges.
