The Topeka Symphony Orchestra has a new man behind those classical tunes.
After a nationwide search through 125 candidates the orchestra nailed it down to five and then finally one man to succeed Dr. John Strickler.
Kyle Wiley Pickett is the new conductor and music director for the orchestra.
The orchestra announced the decision Saturday night.
Throughout the search each of those five conductor candidates developed and conducted one concert.
