As a part of Money Smart Month across Kansas, Housing and Credit Counseling, Inc. will host a program on financial aid and repaying student loans.

Student loan debt now exceeds the total outstanding debt Americans owe on credit cards. This program will address options borrowers have on how to pay back their loans and bring them back into good standing.

The program starts at 6:30 this evening at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library. It is free and open to the public. Speakers will also address briefly what high school students and their parents can expect when applying for student loans.
