Educational Credit Union’s downtown branch held its grand opening on today at 1129 S. Kansas Ave.

The grand opening had members of the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Topeka, Inc., and ECU board members and staff for the ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Topeka High drum line.

ECU had two of their charities of choice in attendance, Barry Feaker, Executive Director of the Topeka Rescue Mission, autographed his book, “In Darkness, A Light Still Shines,” and Mistletoe the Moose, TARC, Inc.’s mascot.

The new branch increases ECU’s commitment to the downtown Topeka area and allows ECU to offer additional teller windows and drive up lanes, a drive up ATM, safe deposit boxes, additional parking, and other great features to better serve their growing membership.
