Two escape early morning fire

Fire officials say they got the call at about two Tuesday morning of a structure fire at 4317 NW 52nd.

Soldier Township firefighters reported the house was fully involved upon their arrival.

The homeowner says they awoke to the fire and ran out to a neighbors house to call 911.

Officals say the fire may have started in the back of the house.

The home was completely on fire and mostly destroyed.

Several lines of water were used to protect the houses on each side of the fire.

Officials say a resident was transported to a local hospital for smoke inhilation a couple of hours after the fire was reported.

Fire crews from  Silverlake fire department and Hoyt  assisted.
