The Showhouse will be open for tours that day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The funds raised benefit children by supporting high-quality child care options for families.

This year’s house, “33rd Annual Designers’ Showhouse on 33rd Street,” is located at 8311 SW 33rd Street in Topeka. It was recently purchased by JB and Tarah Kemper, owners of The Dance Factory in Topeka. The home has been transformed over the past eight weeks by 13 design teams and a host of area craftsmen and volunteers.

The Showhouse is open for tours May 4 through 26. Public tours are offered Wednesday – Thursday (10 a.m. – 7 p.m.); Friday (10 a.m. – 8 p.m.); Saturday (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.); and Sunday (1 – 5 p.m.). Advance tickets are $9, $10 at the door. Visit nenc.ks.childcareaware.org for ticket outlet locations. The last tour starts 30 minutes before closing. Children under the age of 8 will not be admitted.

Groups of eight or more can tour Mondays and Tuesdays (10 a.m. – 7 p.m.) by reservation only (the house remains closed to the general public). Groups can also choose to participate in a self-guided tour Wednesday – Sunday.

The Showhouse Lunch Room is open during the event on Wednesdays – Fridays (11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), with reservations to 785-357-5171, option 1, encouraged.
