5K Run/Walk to benefit student with brain cancer

Randolph Elementary School and Eisenhower Middle School are teaming up today for the Hope for Karis 5k Fun Run/Walk to benefit Karis Selk and her family.

Karis is a six year old student at Randolph Elementary School who was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, the most common type of brain cancer found in children.

Karis has undergone surgeries to remove the tumors as well as radiation and chemotherapy. Karis has been attending school as much as possible.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the family to assist with medical expenses.

The Time of the event will be from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Race will be located at Eisenhower Middle School 3305 SE Minnesota Avenue Topeka, KS 66605. Depending on weather, there will be an indoor or outdoor course. Entry fees are $10 for adults or students and $25 per family.
