The National Center for the Prevention of Home Improvement Fraud is coming to Topeka today to help educate homeowners on how to protect themselves from a scam after a storm.
Tonight at 6:30 in the Marvin Auditorium at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, homeowners can better prepare themselves on contractor fraud and scams. It’s all to prepare for the upcoming storm season and to combat increasing reports in Kansas on contracting fraud.
The event is free and open to the public. To register, go to www.preventcontractfraud.org
