Take part in a backwater adventure today at the Topeka Zoo for official grand opening of Alligator Frenzy a Bayou Adventure.
The exhibit officially opened this morning at 10. Mayor Larry Wolgast will be on hand along with chamber members and exhibit sponsors to cut the ribbon and officially open the exhibit.
Visitors can see a white North American Alligator named Opal, a feeding lagoon of 40 young alligators and several other animals that live in the bayou. The exhibit was made possible through a collaboration of many partners including the City of Topeka, Friends of the Topeka Zoo, AIDG Inc., and many local businesses and private citizens.
Alligator Frenzy is included with zoo admission, but feeding and photo opportunities are available for an additional cost.
Alligator Frenzy runs through September 30th.
