The Army is seeking public input on a proposed plan to address the remedial action alternatives at Forbes Field today.
The areas that are addressed are the north and south landfills on the east side of Forbes Field. The landfills are known to have collected waste generated on the former base until 1973. But there are no historic records to figure out the type or limits of waste disposed.
Tonight at 7:00, members of the public are invited to ask questions on the proposed plan at the Metropolitan Topeka Airport Authority. If you can’t make it tonight, you can send comments until May 31st to Glenn Tisdale at firstname.lastname@example.org
