Race cars converged on downtown Topeka Thursday ahead of this weekend’s big racing event.
The Second Annual Speedfest took place on 8th Street between Kansas Avenue and Quincy.
It kicks of the NHRA Kansas Nationals this weekend.
Fans could see top fuel cars, dirt track cars, motorcycles and more.
Drivers also handed out autographs for the fans.
The NHRA Kansas Nationals get underway Friday at Heartland Park.
Gates open at 7:30 am in the morning.
