The Topeka Area Chapter of the American Red Cross is partnering with Heartland Park to help those affected by the Oklahoma tornado.

Heartland Park will do a “Pass the Bucket” fundraiser during the dirt track races Saturday evening and also host a Red Cross booth to provide information on how to help and how to prepare when disaster strikes.

The Red Cross says it’s the beginning of a long-term collaboration that will continue year-round, through events and education of the community to spread the message of prevention before tragedy strikes.
