Emporia is attempting to fill a truck for the city of Moore, Oklahoma.

The Emporia Area Chamber and Visitors Bureau is asking the community to donate items at 7th and Merchant on Tuesday, may 28th from noon to 6 pm.

Here’s a list of items they are looking for.

  • Bottled Water.
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Baby Wipes
  • Diapers
  • Works Gloves
  • Boots
  • Flashlights
  • Batteries
  • Non-perishable food (with Can openers)
  • Toiletries

Volunteers are also needed to pack the truck, which redline trucking has agreed to donate.

The idea all started when Simmons Pet Food wanted to donate over 1,500 cases of cat and dog food.
