Kansas musicians invited to audition for tribute album and live performance

seveneightfive magazine, and arts and entertainment magazine based in Topeka, has teamed with Rundown Studios to produce a CD and live concert performance in tribute to the iconic Topeka band, Kansas. This project has received the blessing of Kansas founder and frontman Kerry Livgren.

Opportunity to audition electronically for the recording and the performance is open to all bands and musicians of all genres throughout the state of Kansas.
Electronic submissions will be accepted through midnight, June 1, 2013 and is open to all Kansas area bands. Submissions must include one song, a biography, and a few short paragraphs about why the band or musician wants to participate in this project. A selection committee will narrow down the submissions and work cohesively to create an audio showcase of the state’s best talent.

All recording and production will be done at Rundown Studios in Topeka, Kansas, by renowned producer Paul Schneider. Entrants must have an interest in Kansas (the band) and take pride in being a Kansas (the state) musician.
