New exhibit puts "hope" on display

Several churches collaborate on new exhibit that showcases “Signs of Hope” in Topeka through visual and performing arts. The exhibit opens Friday at First Presbyterian Church.

The show runs Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Topeka at 817 SW Harrison.

Local artists commissioned the paintings, photographs and other artwork to show Topeka in a hopeful, positive light.  Scribes of Hope II, a traveling calligraphy exhibit will also be a part of the display.

The First Presbyterian Church, Grace Episcopal Cathedral, and St. John A.M.E. Church are sponsoring the exhibit.
