Volunteers are keeping busy in the kitchen of an Oakland neighborhood church this week.
It is all in preparation for this year’s “Germanfest” that will be held this Saturday and Sunday on the grounds of the Sacred Heart Church.
This morning volunteers were busy making about 7,000 krautstrudels, of course many other types of German food will be available as well as arts, crafts and entertainment.
Proceeds from “Germanfest” help the Holy Family Catholic School.
All the fun begins Saturday at 4:00 p.m. with an outdoor mass and continues Sunday morning after the 9:30 mass.
