The Kansas State High School Activities Association announced on Tuesday that beginning in the 2013-2014 school year, Class 4A will be split into two divisions.

Member schools voted 42 to 22 in favor of separating Class 4A into two divisions in five different sports: volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball and football (effective in 2014).

The state championship sites are still to be determined by KSHSSA for the upcoming school year.
