On April 25, 2013, Hostess Brands, LLC, a new company and employer under new ownership announced plans to expand and re-launch its bakery in Emporia, Kan.

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held today.

Attendees at the Ribbon Cutting were representatives from Apollo Global Management, Metropoulous & Co., Hostess Brands LLC management, Governor Brownback, Mayor Rob Gilligan, RDA Chair Job Geitz, Federal, State and Local elected officials.

The new owners of Hostess Brands say they plan to expand and re-launch the bakery and will bring 250 to 300 jobs to the city.

And for those Twinkie and Ho-Ho fans, the owners say Hostess products back on the shelves by July.
