Tropical Storm Andrea bearing down on Fla. Coast

MIAMI (AP) – The first tropical storm of the Atlantic hurricane season is bearing down on the Florida coast.

Andrea’s maximum sustained winds increased to near 60 mph this morning and the storm is expected to reach Florida’s Big Bend area today before moving across southeastern Georgia.

The storm is centered about 220 miles west-southwest of Tampa and is moving north-northeast near 13 mph.
