Washburn Rural, Shawnee Heights, Topeka High, Silver Lake, Rossville, and Santa Fe Trail are just a few of the high schools that sent players to Washburn Monday for a 7-on-7 league.

The teams play three games each night, twice a week, practicing their pass offense and defense.

Washburn Rural’s new head coach Steve Buhler says it’s a good way for the guys to put in use what they do in practice in game type situations.
