A 78-year-old Arizona man is being held in Northeast Kansas after police say they found $828,000 in cash in his pickup truck.

Junction City Police chief Tim Brown says a K-9 unit stopped the westbound truck for a traffic violation around 9:30 Tuesday morning on interstate 70.

Brown says a search turned up boxes containing the cash in the pick-up bed.

Police seized the money and the truck, which had Colorado tags.

Marshall Dion was booked on suspicion of speeding and transporting drug proceeds.
