Famous Kansans head home

The third annual Kansas Hall of Fame laureate induction ceremony is Friday, June 21st at White Concert Hall. Meet current and former members of the band KANSAS, the daughter of the co-creator of Superman and many other dignitaries with Kansas roots.

A laureate reception at 5:00 p.m. opens the evening at the Great Overland Station. Tickets for this dinner buffet and cocktail hour event are already sold out. The honored guests include nine current and former members of the band KANSAS; Laura Siegel Larsen, daughter of the co-creator of Superman; Dr. Roy Menninger and Dr. Walt Menninger; Jim Naismith, grandson of basketball creator James Naismith; General Roosevelt Barfield representing the 1st Kansas Colored Infantry and others. Audience memembers will have a chance to mingle with the group after the ceremony.
