Reminder: City and County fireworks regulations

For the city of Topeka, you are allowed to set off fireworks from 8:00 a.m. until 11:59 tonight.
Any other day or during any other hours, it is illegal.

Fireworks may be sold in the city until tomorrow July 5th.  But you cannot set them off after tonight.

You must be older than 18 to have or set off fireworks without an adult supervising.
Bottle rockets or skyrockets are  illegal to set off or even have in the state of Kansas.   Violators can be fined anywhere between $250 and $499 per violation.

As for Shawnee County, residents may set off fireworks between 8:00 a.m. and midnight today.

Fireworks  may be sold until tomorrow.

Residents living in incorporated areas of Shawnee County should contact local municipalities for local  provisions.  The same restrictions also apply to Montara subdivisions.
