Investigators will do an autopsy today on the body of a Lawrence man found in the Kansas River.

Lawrence Police and deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at Burcham Park yesterday morning after a boater found the body in the river northwest of the Kansas University Boat House.

Officials say it is 49 year old Dwight Sexton from Lawrence.

The preliminary investigation indicates no foul play was involved in his death.
