Possibility of a cooler air mass moving our way

Temperatures will remain hot for the next several days, but some glimmers of hope in the days to come. First with some scattered storms over the weekend that will provide mainly temporary relief from the heat.

However, we are tracking a fairly large area of cooler weather over Northern Canada that is poised to move south in the Central and Eastern US by late next week into the following weekend. While too early to tell for certain, there are many signals that would indicate we could see a rare late July cool down. Something to wish for nonetheless.
