Arrest made in Riley County theft investigation

ARREST

MANHATTAN, Kan. – On July 16, 2013, the Riley County Police Department’s Investigations Division was made aware of a theft involving an amount of loss totaling more than $25,000 in U.S. Currency.

The victim, The Flint Hills Area Builders Association, contacted police with concerns regarding their Executive Officer, Tracy Roberts, 44, of the 15000 block of Cedar Meadows, Wamego, Kansas.

Detectives then began a thorough investigation into the matter and on July 17, 2013 Roberts was taken into custody and held in lieu of a $10,000 bond for the offenses of theft and making false information.

A search warrant was also conducted on his residence in Wamego, Kansas to assist in furthering the investigation.

Currently this investigation is ongoing.
