The Kansas Highway Patrol and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are looking for more information on an accident that killed a Lawrence bicyclist.
Just after 8 p.m. Sunday, crews were called to the K-10 bypass near the intersection of 27th and Wakarusa.
The Highway Patrol says Hayley Barrios was crossing the south Lawrence traffic-way heading east on her bicycle.
A 67-year old Lawrence man hit her with his truck.
Anyone who may have been in the area at the time or may have witnessed the accident is asked to call Sheriff’s Detective, Jay Armbrister at 785-330-2828.
The Sheriff’s Office is especially looking for the driver of a red car that drove through the intersection just before the accident.
