The Topeka City Council met again last night to consider the 2014 city budget.
The Council’s Budget Committee also came together yesterday at the Topeka Law Enforcement Center.
Council members heard non-departmental presentations on risk funds, long term obligations, and other programs.
Last month City Manager, Jim Colson presented the council with a budget proposal that would raise the city property tax levy by nearly five mills.
The mayor and council member have until August 25 to take final action on the budget.
