Community members in Topeka’s Oakland neighborhood came together Thursday night to develop plans for revitalizing the area.
In March the City Council designated Oakland and Historic North Topeka East as areas for the Stages of Resource Targeting program offered by the federal government.
At the meeting neighbors discussed ways to utilize the grant, identifying the needs of the community as a whole.
Some of the things discussed at the meeting included neighborhood revitalization, infrastructure and affordable housing initiatives.
