New police cameras help with evidence

The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney have a piece of evidence from yesterday’s officer-involved shooting captured on a video camera.

Topeka Police Chief Ron Miller says the camera is mounted to a pair of glasses the officer was wearing. It shows what the officer sees. Chief Miller says that perspective is invaluable.

Kansas First News Reporter Kevin Boughton reports on other departments using similar technology and the manufacturer’s claim it’s almost impossible to tamper with.
