This last Saturday, shortly before 11:00 p.m. officers were called to the parking lot of Phillips 66 at 810 SE 15th due to an aggravated robbery that had just occurred.

Police met with the victim, Brett Sterbach an 18 year old male from Shawnee, Kan.  Sterbach was seated in a car when he was first approached by a Hispanic male then another Hispanic male.  The first male subject asked Sterbach if he had a lighter.  Once Sterbach opened his car door the subjects demanded Sterbach’s wallet.  When the subjects did not get the wallet one of them stabbed Sterbach with a knife.   Sterbach was able to wrestle the knife away from the subject and defend himself with the knife.

The subject in the green shirt will have significant wounds to his left shoulder area and the subject in the darker hoodie may have wounds to his torso and left shoulder.  Both suspects in the robbery where seen leaving in a Blue Dodge Ram 4dr pick-up that was driven by another subject believed to be a Hispanic male as well wearing a red shirt.
