Geary County Commissioners are working to increase the budget for next year by nearly 2%.
Yesterday commissioners decided to boost the 2014 budget by $435,000 or 1.92%.
Commissioner Larry Hicks says this will make the county fiscally stable, ensuring the ability to continue meeting the needs and services of taxpayers and residents.
