Latest update removes all of Eastern Kansas from the drought

Although a line strip of yellow on the map shows slightly below average precipitation for the year, the entire area of Central and Eastern Kansas are now free from drought.

In the last 3 months, the area of the state in some level of drought has decreased from 90% to 50%. The area in an extreme drought has decreased from 51% to 32%.
