The growing Manhattan Regional Airport announced today a new non-stop jet service will be added.
As of today, Manhattan Airport will be the new home of “Allegiant Airlines” which will give flyers a new round trip service between Manhattan and Phoenix, Arizona.
Manhattan will mark the 99th U.S. city served by “Allegiant’s” low cost services.
City officials and the public were present at the event.
The planes for the airline have the ability to hold 150 passengers and Manhattan Airport Director Peter Van Kuren says they expect big numbers.
Van Kuren says this change will bring more affordable and convenient travel options for the people of Northeast Kansas.
The new flight service is expected to begin November 7, 2013.
Tickets for the flight are on sale now.
