The Topeka West Chargers endured many games in which they were overmatched, but they aren’t letting that detour their spirits.

“They’ve made a lot of gains in the weight room and it’s showed on the field,” Topeka West head coach John Tetuan said. “They’ve had some belief in what we’re doing now and everybody understands what we’re trying to do and everybody has the same goal.”

The Chargers finished (1-8) in Tetuan’s first season with the lone victory coming against KC-Washington.

“We just want to win football games,” Topeka West senior quarterback/safety Christian Michael Brooks said. “When you’ve been through what we’ve been through these last three years. As seniors, we just want to come out and win games.”
