$1.5 million dollars will be used to protect Shawnee County’s data.
At their meeting yesterday morning, County Commissioners approved a $1.5 million contract to put most of the County’s data on two software platforms.
The project will be complete within a couple of years and will allow for a safer backup of county data.
The project is headed up by the county’s information technology director, along with the Backing Commissioner Bob Archer who outlined three reasons for approval.
