Emporia State begins the home slate on Thursday night as the Hornets face off against Nebraska-Kearney.
ESU won handily in the season opener at Fort Hays State, 43-13.
“I hope it carries over,” Emporia State head coach Garin Higgins said. “If we’re a mature football team it should carry over. That’s been our challenge this week is to continue to get better.”
The Hornets play under the lights at Welch Stadium. Kickoff is at 6 PM.
“It’s going to be very exciting to play in Welch Stadium on Thursday with a good fan base and a good game plan,” ESU sophomore defensive lineman Justin Wilson said. “We should be ready to go and pull out a win.”
