A Topeka nursing home, who had its license taken away from the state earlier this summer is now officially closed.

Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services says all 55 residents of the Topeka Community Healthcare Center are out of the facility and it is shut down.

Back in July, the state took away TCHC’s license due to not meeting state and federal standards.

The facility had until last week to relocate all of its residents.

In August, a federal judge dismissed TCHC’s lawsuit against the state to try to stay open.

The state says the last resident was moved out of the home the first week of September.
