2 arrested for burglary at home of recent homicide

Two people were arrested for burglary and theft at a home where three bodies were found earlier this week.

Topeka Police say officers responded to 1629 SW Central Park at 4:30 this morning in reference to a burglary in progress at the address.

Officers arrested Jamal T. Booker, 23 of Topeka and Reginald M. Rucker, 29 of Topeka. Both were transported to the Law Enforcement Center then later to the Department of Corrections where they were booked in on charges of Burglary, Theft, Criminal Damage and Obstruction that occurred at this residence.

Topeka Police say they recognize the interest everyone has in reference to the recent homicides but at this time can’t comment further.

Investigation continues into the recent homicides and TPD is still asking the public to call detectives at 368-9400 or Crime Stoppers at 234-0007 with any information they may have.  Crime Stoppers continues to offer an enhanced reward up to $8000.00 for information leading to an arrest in the recent homicides.
