A public advisory for a hybrid wolf issued at the end of December is now canceled in Osage County.
The Osage County Sheriff’s said Thursday it was informed that the hybrid wolf was located by the owner.
Sheriff Laurie Dunn says this is a reminder that the county has a resolution that forbids hybrid wolves and certain other animals.
In December, a hybrid wolf was spotted in the area north of Osage City near US56 Highway. It wasn’t known if the wolf was aggressive and people were told to use caution if they spotted the animal.
