(Kansas Dept. for Children and Families) – All Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) service centers and offices are closed today, due to the recent winter storm. DCF Secretary Phyllis Gilmore made the decision to close DCF facilities for the second day this week, in an effort to keep Kansans safe.

“We want to encourage our staff and clients to stay home,” Secretary Gilmore said. “The dangerous driving conditions should be taken seriously.”

The DCF website contains many applications for benefits and services. Clients who have internet access should apply online at www.dcf.ks.gov.

It is anticipated that DCF offices will be back open tomorrow, Feb. 6, after crews have had time to clear the roads. Please tune into your local television stations for closing announcements.
