Topeka man arrested on multiple charges

At 12:45 this morning, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office received information of a suspicious person walking near a house in the 7400 block of NE Indian Creek.

A Deputy arrived in the area and made visual contact with a male subject who immediately took off running from the Deputy.  Preliminary investigation indicated the suspect entered a detached garage in the 7400 block of NE Indian Creek where items were stolen from a vehicle therein.

The suspect, 22-year-old Logan Wesley Hunt of Topeka was arrested at 1:30 a.m. near the incident location. Hunt was booked in to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections at 4:40 a.m. and charged with burglary, felony obstruction, theft, possession of stolen property and interference with a law enforcement officer.

This incident is still under investigation.
