Plan launched to help with construction shortages

Washburn Tech unveiled a new plan to help address construction worker shortages around the nation.

The school partnered with the Associated General Contractors of America, who is helping to improve training for construction students.

The same education that professional receive.

AGC Spokesman, Brian Turmail says there is a dire need for workers to fill the emply seats.

Turmail says construction employment has gone from 48 hundred to 55 hundred employees between December 2011 and December 2013. That’s a 15 percent increase.
