Olathe man sentenced to 4 years for child porn

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — A 46-year-old Johnson County man man has been sentenced to four years in prison for possessing child pornography.

The office of the U.S. Attorney for Kansas says in a release that James Christmas of Olathe pleaded guilty to one count of possessing child pornography. In his plea, prosecutors say he admitted he possessed more than 12,000 images and 26 videos of child pornography.

Christmas was sentenced Tuesday and was also ordered to pay a $12,500 fine.
