Governor signs Severe Weather Week proclamation

With winter storms approaching Governor Sam Brownback doesn’t want Kansans to forget that spring severe weather will be here before we know it.

Today he signed a proclamation declaring the first week of March as Severe Weather Awareness Week in the state.

The proclamation coincides with the National Severe Weather Awareness Week.

It urges Kansans to start planning for springtime weather-related emergencies by having emergency kits in homes and for everyone to have an emergency plan.
