LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. (AP) — A 30-year-old suburban Lee’s Summit woman is charged with several municipal violations after a 1-year-old child fell out of her moving car on a Missouri highway.
GiAnni L. Henderson of Lee’s Summit was charged Monday with child endangerment, driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also faces several traffic violations.
The child suffered only minor injuries after falling out of the car Sunday night on an exit ramp of U.S. 50 in Lee’s Summit. A passing driver stopped and helped the child until emergency crews arrived. Investigators determined the child was not properly restrained.
All the charges will be heard in municipal court.
