ESU Lady Hornets advance to Regional Finals

Kansas City, Mo. – Top seeded Emporia State defeated Wayne State 76-69 to earn a spot in the NCAA Division II Central Regional Championship game. ESU shot .440 from the field and got 23 points from their bench as they won their fifth straight post-season game.

For the Lady Hornets Laura Patrick led the way scoring 19 points going five of nine from beyond the arc. Merissa Quick had a double-double scoring 18 points and pulling down a game high 13 rebounds. Desiree Wylie added 14 points and Haley Parker finished with 10 points while Rheanna Egli had five assists.

Emporia State will face the winner of Central Missouri and Concordia St. Paul at 7 p.m. on March 17 from Searchy, Ark.
