#Firecop live tweeting event from Manhattan Friday night

MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) – A police officer and firefighter will team up in Riley County for 6 hours Friday night in a live tweeting event they’re calling “#Firecop”.

The Riley County Police Department and Manhattan Fire Department describe it as an emergency services job swap. The officer and fireman will tweet about their experiences using the hashtag “#Firecop”. The Riley County Twitter event will include a play by play of the police and fire shifts.

RCPD’s #Twittercop Matt Droge promises a candid social media conversation; everything from life threatening emergencies to embarrassing moments like the time he burned a hole in his pants with a road flare.

To follow or participate in Friday night’s event, search for the #Firecop hastag or follow Riley County P.D. and/or Manhattan F.D. the “#Firecop” live tweet event starts at 6 p.m. Friday night and runs through midnight.
